Lancer Film & Television

“Art is a nation’s most precious heritage. For it is in our works of art that we reveal to ourselves and to others the inner vision which guides us as a nation. And where there is no vision, the people perish.”

–Lyndon Johnson, on signing into existence the National Endowment on the Arts

Everyone has a story to tell. This UC approved series of classes, which are part of the 4-year study of digital film production encourages students to explore and practice in all fields of filmmaking and production. Students will learn how to tell great stories, establish strong characters and find their voice through the art of filmmaking. Students will discover the importance of planning, elements of design and composition, screenwriting, project and time management, non-linear editing, lighting, production design, innovative sound design, graphics and animation, and will ensure the development of critical thinking skills while exercising their creativity. Four-year film students will prepare a portfolio of work for college review in their junior year, ensuring a body of quality work for the higher education application process.

Lancer Television (LTV) is a closed-circuit news broadcast created by and for La Salle students. LTV provides students with the most up-to-date news and announcements and showcases student work including short films, design, and other visual arts performances.
