Joe Blackman '89 competed at the USA Track & Field Jim Bush So Cal Association Championships at Pomona College on July 2, 2022, and won medals in the 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500, 5000, long jump, and triple jump. From July 28-31, 2022, he competed at the USA Track & Field Masters Outdoor Nationals in Lexington, Kentucky, winning a national championship in the 4x800, placing 2nd in the 4x100 and 4x400, and third in the steeplechase and javelin. The team he competes for, So Cal Track Club, placed 2nd at Nationals out of 125 teams.
