Sylvia Bernstein Memorial Golf Fund

In 2002, my world was forever changed when my beloved wife, Sylvia, tragically lost her life in a terrible accident. On that fateful day, I not only lost my life partner, but my son, Blake, also lost his mother. In the midst of this profound grief, I found solace and inspiration in commemorating Sylvia’s memory in a way
that would reflect her love for our family and her passion for the game of golf.

Blake, our son, graduated from La Salle the same year Sylvia passed. He was an active member of the school’s golf team throughout his time at La Salle. Witnessing his dedication and the golf program's positive impact on his life, I felt compelled to give back to the school that had provided our family with an excellent education and unwavering support during difficult times.

In honor of Sylvia, and as a tribute to the enduring bond between La Salle and our family, I made a heartfelt donation to the school’s golf program. This contribution led to the establishment of the “Sylvia Bernstein Memorial Golf Fund,” a lasting legacy dedicated to supporting the Boys and Girls Golf teams at La Salle College Preparatory. I encourage others to support this endowed fund, which will help support both La Salle golf teams every year.
