New York University - BFA in Studio Art
New York University - Masters of Education in Art Education
What do you teach?
Art! Right now I teach Studio Art 1, Contemporary Photography, Digital Illustration and Advanced Drawing & Painting. I truly feel that I have the best job. :)
What other roles/responsibilities do you have on campus?
I moderate the Photo & Sound Club as well as the Botany Club.
How many years have you been at La Salle?
This is my 3rd year at La Salle.
What was your career before coming to La Salle?
I worked with AI for a Tech company.
What drew you to working at La Salle?
Its robust art program and the amazing art department chair Kate Williams. What's kept me here is the community. It's clear both students and staff pride themselves on being kind and welcoming.
What is your favorite thing about teaching at La Salle?
The students are really the best! I love being surprised and impressed by the artwork they make. And seeing them be surprised and impressed by their own work, that's what it's all about.
Do you have a favorite memory or favorite alumni class?
I always enjoy the VAPA (Visual and Performing Arts) showcases. It's cool to see our student artists, dancers, thespians, and musicians come together and celebrate each other's work.
What are your hobbies/interests outside of La Salle?
I like to travel, read, do yoga and go to movies.
If you were a student at La Salle today, which current clubs, activities, or organizations would you be a part of?
Definitely Trader Joe's club. I also would have loved to have taken a dance class by Ms. Shaw.
