I’ve been a freshman Class moderator off and on for many years.

  • How many years have you been at La Salle?

This is year 30.

  • Why have you stayed at La Salle?

I have loved belonging to an institution that feels like family, that is accepting of all, that works to reach the hearts and teach the minds of the students entrusted to our care, and is set up to have us be the big sister of the students

  • What is your favorite thing about teaching at La Salle?

The impact that I have on a student is not always seen right away. Very often a student will realize that they learned how to be a better student in my classes and then they also learned about the science!

  • Do you have a favorite memory or favorite alumni class?

I love when former students come back and let me know what impact I made on their major or career choice. Very often it is to say how surprised they were about how much they learned. They didn’t realize until they were in college and that it led them to doing work that they really love. I love when they keep in touch letting me hear about all the fascinating science they are doing.
  • What are your hobbies/interests outside of La Salle?

Hiking, hanging out with friends, going to musical events especially ones with outdoor venues, scuba diving, spending time in Yosemite, traveling

  • If you were a student at La Salle today, which current clubs, activities, or organizations would you be a part of?

Environmental Club / Green Teen, Service Organization, Trader Joe Club, Class council, Volleyball, and Basketball teams maybe cross-country
