On behalf of our Lancer Athletic Department, I hope you are enjoying the last week of summer break. We are excited to officially welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year and Fall Athletic Season! Our coaches and staff are eager to welcome our Lancer families back to the stands, fields, and courts after two years of COVID-19 challenges and restrictions.

Fall Season Athletic Information Night - Thursday, August 11th @ 5:30 PM

For those with children participating (or interested in participating) in fall season sports, our Athletic Department will be hosting an informational meeting at 5:30 PM in the Duffy Lewis Gymnasium. If you’re unable to attend the meeting, please be sure to contact the head coach of the sport your child is interested in.

Fall Sports Interest and Tryout Information

If your student-athlete is interested in participating in a fall season sport, please contact the head coach for that sport as follows:

• Football - For more information, please contact Coach Ben Buys: bbuys@lasallehs.org.
• Cross Country - No tryout necessary - Coach Austin Williams: awilliams@lasallehs.org.
• Girls Tennis - For more information, please contact Coach Javier Djeu: jdjeu@lasallehs.org
• Girls Golf - August 10th or 12th, from 10 am - 12 pm at Altadena Golf Course - Coach Steve Haderlein: shaderlein@lasallehs.org.
• Girls Volleyball - For more information, contact Coach Shari Iwatani at siwatani@lasallehs.org
• Boys Water Polo - No tryouts necessary - Coach Ian Castillo: icastillo@lasallehs.org
• Cheer/Dance - Tryouts for Cheer and Dance occur in June prior to the upcoming school year. For the 2022 - 2023 school year the teams have been selected. If your athlete is interested in Cheer or Dance for the 2023 - 2024 school year, tryout information will be available in early February 2023. Reminder: Athletic Clearance Registration

All students interested in trying out for a team or participating in any sport must be cleared in order to do so. To obtain clearance, please visit lasallehs.org/athleticclearance and follow the instructions to access HomeCampus.com. You must upload a clear copy of a current physical and provide your insurance information. If these criteria are not met, your student-athlete will not be cleared. Please email athleticdepartment@lasallehs.org for any questions.
