Homecoming Success

The Lancers started out our homecoming decades themed festivities on Monday, October 11th with the 70s! Students showed off their grooviest 70s outfits and participated in the first lunchtime activity of the week, “What's in the box.” Tuesday's dress-up day was the 80s. The lunchtime activity was a hairstyling contest that made the whole amphitheater smell like hairspray. Homecoming week stopped briefly on Wednesday for a testing day but picked back up on Thursday with the 90s/2000s. Students showed off their musical knowledge during lunch. The biggest day of the week was Friday. Students dressed up as their favorite icons from the past. At lunch, there was a competitive game of teachers vs. students trivia that showed the students in a strong lead until the last question, worth ten points, that the teachers guessed correctly and gave them the win! The school day ended with our first all-school rally of the year held on the field! The rally celebrated our Girls Tennis Team's CIF win in Spring 2021 with a ring ceremony. The evening of Friday, October 15th was the Homecoming game against Mary Star of the Sea and the Lancers won 33-14! At halftime, Eamon Binns ’22 and Cassandra Beltre ’22 were crowned King and Queen! Saturday was the Homecoming dance with over 500 students in attendance! Filled with music, games, and friends, the dance was a hit and a great way to end homecoming week. Many thanks to all the alumni who came out for the game on Friday night to cheer the Lancer onto victory.
