Mr. Mark Servé Named Head Football Coach
Dear La Salle Community,
I hope this message finds you well as we enter our well-deserved Easter Break. A few months ago, we embarked on a diligent and comprehensive search for our next Head Football Coach. Our search committee was comprised of current coaches, faculty, staff and administrators, whose task was to assist me in selecting an individual who will elevate our program to the next level and beyond over the coming years.
After an extensive search, I am pleased to announce the selection of Mr. Mark Servé as our next Head Football Coach. Coach Servé will officially begin his new role at La Salle on April 16th.
Prior to joining La Salle, Coach Servé served as head football coach from 2021 to 2023 and physical education teacher since 2021 at Westlake High School. Before his tenure at Westlake, he served as Associate Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator at Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, CA. During his 11-year tenure, he was a part of the team’s tremendous success at Sierra Canyon, winning two state football championships, four regional championships, and four CIF championships.
Coach Servé also brings years of experience coaching at the collegiate level, serving as Assistant Head Football Coach and Offensive Coordinator at Pierce College and Wide Receivers Coach at Northwest Missouri State University, where he was a part of two national NCAA championships. When including his tenure coaching youth football, Coach Servé brings over 27 years of football coaching experience to La Salle.
Coach Servé earned his Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in Physical Education from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, MO, and also holds a single-subject teaching credential in physical education. He currently resides in Moorpark, CA, with his wife, Amy, and has three supportive and loving daughters, Anaya, Khari, and Melania.
When asked about his coaching philosophy, Coach Servé leans on four key areas of distinction - Energy, Effort, Discipline, and Accountability. He believes that character, leadership, hard work, and selflessness are foundational for our student-athletes’ success. He is also committed to ensuring that our young men apply our Five Lasallian Core Principles in all that they do, both on and off the field.
I am excited to have Coach Servé join our La Salle College Preparatory community.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll provide opportunities for you to meet him and learn about his vision for our Lancer Football Program. Please join me in welcoming Mr. Mark Servé to La Salle!
Sincerely,
Daniel Threadgill, M.Ed.
