Richard Gray San Miguel Scholarship Fund
The Richard Gray San Miguel Scholarship Fund has been established to recognize the work and remarkable achievements of La Salle College Preparatory’s fourth school president, Dr. Richard Gray. During his twenty-year tenure as La Salle’s president, he oversaw the construction of Kohorst Field, campaigns to provide funds for technology and the arts, including the construction of a state-of-the-art STEAM laboratory, and funding for La Salle's Blaskelee Learning Commons, among other important initiatives. Chief among his achievements, though, was the establishment of the San Miguel Scholarship Program, a full-tuition scholarship offered to students of academic promise whose family income puts them at or below the federal poverty line. This four-year scholarship includes waivers of textbooks, fees, and other costs, and serves at least 5% of La Salle's student population.
Gifts and donations raised through The Richard Gray San Miguel Scholarship Fund will be used to establish an endowed fund to assure the permanence of this hallmark program at La Salle College Preparatory. We’re grateful to Dr. Gray for his two decades of service to La Salle and for his many contributions to our Lasallian community. We’re also very thankful to all those who are able to make a gift to this important scholarship fund for students both most deserving and most in need of this special support.
