Suzy Rettig Selected as La Salle's New Director of Alumni Relations
Message from the President’s Office - August 16, 2024
Dear La Salle Community,
As many of you are aware, Kristen Schultz ‘98 retired from the Director of Alumni Relations role after 21.5 years of dedicated service to La Salle College Preparatory. Over the last several months, we conducted a comprehensive and thorough search for our next Director of Alumni Relations in close collaboration with our La Salle Alumni Board Leadership Team.
Today, I am excited to announce that we have selected Mrs. Suzy Rettig, P’19, P’25, to serve as our next Director of Alumni Relations. Suzy has been a member and friend of the La Salle community for decades, having attended high school just blocks away from campus and serving in various volunteer positions at the school before joining our faculty and staff as a member of our Admissions Office in 2018. In addition to her service to our school, her two children are proud Lancers, with her son CJ graduating in 2019 and her daughter Holly graduating in 2025. Suzy’s husband, Chris Rettig, is a proud graduate of the Class of 1984, along with her brother and five brothers-in-law.
Prior to joining La Salle’s Admissions Office, Suzy served in leadership roles at Bank of America and Countrywide Home Loans, where she facilitated and led company-wide training programs, community engagement programming, and employee recognition events. Her 25 years of service in both corporate and school settings, coupled with her deep personal commitment to La Salle and our community, made her an outstanding candidate for this important role at our school.
As our new Director of Alumni Relations, Suzy will be responsible for overseeing our alumni relations and engagement programs, fostering alumni relationships with La Salle, and serving as a key partner in the advancement of our school’s mission. Over the next school year, Suzy will be working closely with the La Salle Alumni Board to introduce herself to the community and continue to partner with our alumni to ensure they remain connected and engaged with La Salle College Preparatory. Her first official day as our new Director of Alumni Relations will be Monday, August 19th, and a search will begin immediately to fill her past role with the Admissions Office.
Please join me in congratulating and welcoming Mrs. Suzy Rettig as she embarks on this new journey here at La Salle College Preparatory.
Sincerely,
Perry Martin, M.Ed.
School President
