Honoring the Memory of Mr. Roy Chang
On October 24th, La Salle hosted a Celebration of Life for Mr. Roy Chang who passed away unexpectedly on August 10, 2021. Mr. Chang taught at La Salle from 2005-2021 serving in our science department, technology and engineering department and as coach of our robotics team. His Celebration of Life was attended by students, alumni, parents, colleagues and Roy’s family and friends. Girls Varsity Tennis are Del Rey League Champions!
Congratulations to the La Salle Girls Tennis team! They had a clean sweep of the regular season and the Del Rey League individual competition. The team had a perfect 14-0 regular season to win the Del Rey League team championship, winning for the 2nd year in a row. Sydney Sasaki '23 went 4-0 in the Del Rey League singles championship which ended with a competitive finals win over Pomona Catholic, 7-5, 6-3. Homecoming Success
The Lancers started out our homecoming decades themed festivities on Monday, October 11th with the 70s! Students showed off their grooviest 70s outfits and participated in the first lunchtime activity of the week, “What's in the box.” Tuesday's dress-up day was the 80s. The lunchtime activity was a hairstyling contest that made the whole amphitheater smell like hairspray. Homecoming week stopped briefly on Wednesday for a testing day but picked back up on Thursday with the 90s/2000s. Students showed off their musical knowledge during lunch.
