Dear La Salle Community, Earlier this month, I informed our school community that Principal Jamal Adams was selected as the next principal of Loyola High School in Los Angeles for the 2023-2024 school year. Before this announcement, I had been in close contact with our school search firm, Educational Directions, in assessing the current landscape for a strong principal search. Taste of La Salle Success!
The La Salle Alumni Association hosted the return of the much-anticipated biennial Taste of La Salle on March 25th on campus raising over $50,000 for the Alumni Scholarship Fund. La Salle's Tomas Posada-Awad '23 Named National Merit Scholarship Finalist
We are thrilled to share that one of our outstanding Lancers, Tomas Posada-Awad ‘23, has been selected as a National Merit Scholarship Finalist in the 2023 competition. This is a remarkable achievement that reflects his hard work, dedication, and exceptional talent. According to the College Board, 3.6 million students took the PSAT in the 2021-2022 school year, and only 15,000 students were named as finalists. Congratulations, Tomas! Our school community came together today for an inspiring and thought-provoking assembly featuring the film, "Repairing the World: Stories from the Tree of Life". A heartfelt thank you to Gus Gladstein '23, co-president of our Jewish Club, for organizing this impactful event!The film documents Pittsburgh's response to hate and antisemitism after the 2018 attack at the Tree of Life synagogue. The film follows survivors, victims' families, community members, and leaders as they confront rising hate and violence, including antisemitism, racism, hate speech, and gun violence.
