Our Lasallian Core Principles

The Core of Who We Are

Our Five Core Principles drive all of our decisions, actions, and work at La Salle College Preparatory. From academics and counseling to arts and athletics, these Lasallian principles guide our students, faculty, and staff everyday. In following each, we carry out our mission in the name of our founder, St. John Baptist de La Salle.

We celebrate our inclusive, co-educational and diverse community because it prepares our students for an increasingly global culture and economic landscape.

Our rigorous academic program challenges our students in the classroom and our broad offering of co-curricular programs empower and enable our students to discover their path to excellence.

Student at desk focused on school work

Our diverse student-body fosters acceptance of all persons and enables spaces in which differing and opposing points of view can be shared and heard. We do not tolerate prejudice, bigotry or discrimination because it has no place in the world.

We place a strong emphasis on service through classes and opportunities to serve in our community and around the world. We do this to instill in our students a sense of responsibility; that their impact in addressing social challenges is needed and can be felt beyond our walls.

We are proud of the service, love and care that our Catholic faith and heritage unlock in our community. We educate our students about the importance of faiths around the world and how faith is central to shaping values.

Student Life and Ministry

Forming Students to be Leaders Rooted in Faith, Service and Community

Student Life at La Salle College Preparatory provides everyone the opportunity to grow in faith, engage in service, and take an active role in the community life of the school.

Student Life merges the organizations of Associated Student Body with Campus Ministry. It seeks to live the mission of the school by nurturing the talents of each student through leadership roles such as student life officers, class representatives, retreat leaders, liturgical ministers and more.

Students gain a sense of responsibility for others by organizing inclusive activities such as retreats, on-campus service projects and team-building experiences. Students are challenged to embrace diversity through the various programs, clubs and organizations on campus.

Building Community Through School Activities

Our Student Life team is dedicated to fostering a vibrant and inclusive campus community. Organizing a variety of events and activities throughout the year, their mission is to create a space where every student feels valued and connected. By sharing school spirit and promoting involvement, they help to build a strong sense of belonging among our student body.

Some events Student Life hosts include:

Lunch Time Activities

Dress Up Days

And so much more!

Financial Aid and Scholarships

We Recognize Private School Education is a Significant Investment

Last year, we awarded more than $5 million in financial aid and scholarships. Our Financial Aid Committee reviews all financial aid applications thoroughly, and we strive to assist as many qualified students as possible. Admission decisions and financial aid awards are kept separate, and requesting financial aid in no way jeopardizes your child’s opportunity for admissions.
