We Remember...

Please remember in your prayers those graduates from La Salle College Preparatory who have passed on.

Get Involved

Welcome to La Salle’s Alumni Website. Over the years, the School has continued to expand its efforts in reconnecting with alumni from all decades. La Salle now has over 7,000 alumni living in all four corners of the globe; working in every type of profession imaginable.

The purpose of the La Salle Alumni Association is to support the School’s mission by connecting with and engaging alumni through communications, programs and events.

The Alumni Association hosts over 25 events annually including networking opportunities, alumni sporting events, alumni drama productions, regional gatherings, Career Day, Homecoming, Reunions, and our signature Taste of La Salle event which takes place every other year. All are designed to allow alumni to stay in touch, network and have a good time. The Alumni Association has a presence on FacebookLinkedInInstagram and X where you can get the latest news on what is going on at La Salle. Lancer Magazine hits the mail three times a year and showcases the achievements of current students, alumni and faculty members. The Alumni Association also sends e-updates monthly so make sure the Alumni Office has your latest email address.

We invite you to get involved in your own way- the possibilities are endless and don’t hesitate in sharing any ideas you might have. Whether you have time to serve on a Board or Committee, come back as a Career Day speaker, attend an alumni event, or participate in Alumni National Day of Service your participation is welcome! Sending in a Class Note for Lancer Magazine, nominating a fellow alum for an Alumni Award or making a gift to your Alma Mater are also ways to stay connected.

Thank you for your continued support of La Salle College Preparatory. If you have any comments or suggestions, we would be happy to hear from you at alumni@lasallehs.org.

Go Lancers!

Volunteer Opportunities

Alumni Association Board & Committees
Become an active member in the La Salle Alumni Association! The Alumni Board helps keep alumni connected to their Alma Mater through events, programs, and communications. The Alumni Board is also responsible for selecting the annual recipients of the Alumni Scholarships available to incoming freshmen and graduating seniors.

Currently, we are looking for new members to join the Alumni Board. If you are interested or know someone looking to get more involved with their Alma Mater, please contact Director of Alumni Relations, Suzy Rettig at 626.696.4362. Or you can send an e-mail to srettig@lasallehs.org.

Networking Event Host
Everyone is looking to network these days so why not La Salle grads? If you would be interested in hosting a networking mixer at your place of business please contact the Alumni Office at 626.696.4362 or alumni@lasallehs.org.The Alumni Office takes care of all of the details. We are just looking for alumni hosts to get the event started.

Reunion Committee Members
Reunion Representatives play a very important role in the reunion planning process. La Salle is committed to making this process as simple as possible. The Alumni Office takes care of all of the details but Reunion Reps fill a critical role by updating contact information on their classmates, encouraging them to attend the Reunion, and encouraging participation in the Reunion Class Gift. Plus, Reunion Reps tend to have a lot of fun reconnecting with old friends before the big event!

If you would like to be a Reunion Rep, please contact the Director of Alumni Relations, Suzy Rettig, at srettig@lasallehs.org.

Alumni Speakers & Career Mentors
Alumni are invited to share their career experience and insight with La Salle students as guest speakers on Career Day (every fall), guest lecturers in the classroom, and as career mentors. This is a great way for current students to hear of the practical application of what they are learning in the classroom and to gain insight into specific careers and industries. Alumni speakers can be arranged during the school year and can take place in the classroom or outside of class. If you would like to serve as a Career Day Speaker or Alumni Guest Lecturer, please contact the Director of Alumni Relations, Suzy Rettig, at srettig@lasallehs.org.

Taste of La Salle
The Taste of La Salle has become the Alumni Association’s signature event which takes place every other year in the spring. The proceeds from this food and beverage tasting event benefit the Alumni Scholarship Fund. Each year, the Alumni Association gives incoming freshmen the opportunity to apply for the Lasallian Heritage Scholarship (a $10,000 scholarship payable over 4 years). In addition, current juniors are given the opportunity to apply for the Alumni College Scholarship during the spring semester. Up to two recipients are chosen and receive their $1,500 scholarships at the end of their senior year to use toward their college education. If you are interested in being a part of the Taste of La Salle event committee contact Director of Alumni Relations, Suzy Rettig, at srettig@lasallehs.org.

In early 2000, all Christian Brother schools across the country were asked to start a San Miguel Scholarship Program, providing full-tuition scholarships for students whose family income put them at or below the federal poverty line. In doing so, Christian Brother schools would further embody the mission of their founder, St. John Baptist de la Salle, who was committed to making education accessible for all, especially the poor. Thanks to donors’ support, La Salle College Preparatory fully embraced this charge and enrolled the first freshman cohort of San Miguel Scholars in the fall of 2000. Fast forward twenty-four years, and next spring’s Commencement Exercises will mark the 20th graduating class of San Miguel Scholars from La Salle.

We can only keep the San Miguel Scholarship program growing and thriving with your support. Your donation to the San Miguel Scholarship Fund will ensure that money is available now and in the future for students most in need and will ensure the program’s viability.

Gifts to the Pat Bonacci, AFSC Endowed Scholarship Fund, the Annie Johnston Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund, and the Dr. Richard Gray Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund all support San Miguel Scholars. So whether you direct your gift to a named San Miguel Scholarship or the fund, in general, you are making an impact.

Adopt-A-Family 2024
A La Salle Christmas Tradition 29 YEARS in the Making

La Salle has been participating in Adopt-A-Family for 29 years and for the 16th year, the Alumni Association is joining in adopting a minimum of 5 needy families for the holidays with the hope of making this an unforgettable Christmas. Between now and December 1st we are accepting donations in the amount of $5, $10, $25 and more. No matter the size of your gift, every bit helps fulfill these wishes. We can’t make this drive successful without YOUR participation!

This year La Salle has partnered with Hillsides, Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services, and the Salvation Army. Click here to View the Family Wish Lists

The LANCER Challenge is a yearly giving competition that challenges each class to increase the number of donors who contribute to La Salle over the fiscal year (July 1 – June 30). No gift amount is too small to count for your class. The competition is based on the number of alums from each class who give, not the dollar amount.

*All tax-deductible gifts will impact your class participation score

The Class with the highest # of donors at fiscal year-end (June 30th) receives:

  • Placement on the Lancer for Life Championship Banner in the Gym
  • Recognition in Lancer Magazine
  • Bragging rights (and they are priceless!)

Congratulations to the CLASS OF 1975 for winning the 2022-2023 LANCER CHALLENGE AGAIN with 50 DONORS

Below are the class rankings as they currently stand for FY 2023-2024.

Please consider donating to La Salle College Preparatory in memory of Ellie Rae Hoffman ‘12, whose passion for art flourished in the studios of her alma mater. Ellie’s time at La Salle led to her career as an arts educator, and her connection to the area remained strong—she spent her time painting the local mountains and artichokes grown in her Sierra Madre backyard. Recently, she found a new calling in arts: building a thriving pottery program for her students at Mt. SAC Early College Academy.

In honor of this life well lived and to further ensure a place for new Lancers to explore their creativity, donations in Ellie’s honor will fund La Salle’s arts program. We are proud to announce that your support will result in a La Salle art studio being named in Ellie’s honor, and we hope to continue raising funds to boost arts education. Thank you for helping support the next generation of arts at La Salle. Any amount you can give is greatly appreciated.
